Set in the mountainous surroundings of Tecate, Baja California, this project designed and built by Grupo ARO is conceptualized as a hospitality sanctuary that merges traditional hacienda aesthetics with contemporary amenities. The exterior architecture stands out for its imposing warm-toned stucco volume, crowned with classic clay tile roofs and a square tower that serves as a visual landmark within the complex. The landscape and urban design play a crucial role, structuring the terrain’s slope through broad, illuminated concrete stairways and circular plazas paved with geometric patterns, creating majestic transition spaces.
The user experience focuses on connecting with the natural environment through generous outdoor areas. A central courtyard—cobbled with brick and stone accents—stands out under a canopy of string lights and climbing vegetation, offering an intimate setting for social gatherings. This warmth carries over into the guest rooms, where an autumnal color palette, accented by dark wood headboards and vibrant artwork, is complemented by expansive windows opening onto private terraces, ensuring complete immersion in the serenity of the Baja California landscape.
